Today (09/11/2021) is the second Tuesday of this month and part of the Microsoft patch Tuesday, November 2021 the company has released a bunch of cumulative updates to resolve vulnerabilities in its operating systems and other products, like the Microsoft Office productivity suite, while also addressing a series of other bugs related to performance and usability.

The 09 November 2021 (Patch Tuesday) cumulative updates are the following:

  1. KB5007186 (OS Builds 19043.1348, 19042.1348, and 19041.1348) for the latest windows 10 20H2, version 21H1, and version 2004.

  2. Windows 10 October 2019 Update (version 1909): KB5007189 (OS Build 18362.1916)

  3. Windows 10 October 2019 Update (version 1809): KB5007206 (OS Build 17763.2300)

All these updates only include minor patches and security fixes, rather than any new features.

Enhances Microsoft Defender for Endpoint’s ability to identify and intercept ransomware and advanced attacks.

Known issues:

  1. After installing the June 21, 2021 (KB5003690) update, some devices cannot install new updates, such as the July 6, 2021 (KB5004945) or later updates. You will receive the error message, “PSFX_E_MATCHING_BINARY_MISSING”.

After installing this update, Windows print clients might encounter the following errors when connecting to a remote printer shared on a Windows print server:
