Why does my computer turn off by itself windows 10?

An overheating power supply, due to a malfunctioning fan, can cause a computer to shut off unexpectedly. If you are going through the problem of automatic shutdown in your Windows 10 computer, then we have a list of some suggestions which might help you in fixing your problem in Windows.

Battery problem is another major reason for the random shutdown of the laptop. This problem usually occurs after a long use age of laptops or excessive charging. If your laptop shuts down randomly, test your battery if it’s working well or not. If it isn’t, you really need to buy a new battery.

Monitor CPU Temperature

Sometimes, your CPU or GPU may overheat which can lead to automatic shutdowns. That’s because the motherboard is programmed to shut down the entire system to prevent the CPU from getting damaged. This way laptops can cool down for an adequate period and prevents the inner system from drastic damage. To check the temperature of your CPU, you can use third-party tools or can very carefully touch the backside of your laptop. If your laptop is under warranty, then take it to the supplier for replacement.

For desktop users If the fans stop working, the temperature will be higher than normal. So open the case and ensure the fans are running. If the fans are broken, you might need to replace it with a new one. Again Too much dust can cause computer overheating. So try to clean the computer especially the fans and the filter.

Check if RAM (Memory module) causing the issue

Most of the computers either stop working or just turn off randomly because of the RAM (random access memory) crashing problem. This problem generally occurs when your ram stops working or by the displacement of your ram. To resolve this problem, unplug your ram, clean it out (clean the RAM slot as well) and plug it again. Check if the problem is solved or not.
