Download chrome version 68

First of all make sure you have installed chrome version 68.

Or you can check and install latest chrome updates form “chrome://settings/help

Also, you can download the latest chrome version 68 from the official site.

Enable Emoji panel on Google Chrome

When you ready with chrome version 68, follow steps below to enable and use New emoji panel.

  1. Type “chrome://flags/#enable-emoji-context-menu” in the address bar

  2. Now click on the drop-down menu and select “Enable”

  3. Once you do that, Google will give you a pop-up to relaunch Chrome so the Emoji panel can be enabled.

You will see below, the usual warning The changes will be applied the next restart of Google Chrome, with the button Relaunch Now on the right. Click on Relaunch Now and you’re done (the open tabs will be saved and correctly restored upon reboot).

How to use the Chrome Emoji Panel

Once relaunched, Chrome will have an “Emoji” option in the context menu. To access it, right click on the screen and you will see the option to the top of the context menu.

You can then start typing to get the emoji you want to add.

It seems it’s the same emoji panel that’s included in Windows 10, and Chrome is just using it. For Windows 10, you can use Windows + period (.) keyboard shortcut to get emojis.

Also on windows 10 Redstone 5 and 19H1 preview Microsoft has introduced 157 new emojis that come in Unicode 11 format. This includes superheroes, redheads, a softball, a pirate flag and a llama all made the cut. You can access them using the Emoji Panel (WIN+.) or the touch keyboard.

Along with this feature with the latest update, Chrome began adding the label “Not secure” in the URL bar for some HTTP websites.
