According to a recent leak courtesy of Twitter user WalkingCat, who has a very good track on Microsoft scoops, Windows 10 Redstone 5 could launch as “October 2018 Update.” The new name, which identifies version 1809 (Redstone 5), is already visible through PowerShell.

This means Microsoft would no longer use fancy names for its OS updates, like Creators Update, but stick with a naming approach that makes more sense considering the bi-annual release schedule that the company has embraced.

Previously the April 2018 Update itself has its own story regarding the name, as previously, it was believed this would become spring creators update, But after the BSOD delay on 30 April 2018 Microsoft released the fifth major update for Windows 10 As of April 2018 update version 1803.

Whatever the name, but with the upcoming feature update (probably windows 10 version 1809) will bring a huge number of features (cloud-powered clipboard, Dark Theme for file explorer, Screen capture tool, Improved search previews, your phone app, Huge improvements to Microsoft Edge, Better fluent design integration, etc) as Microsoft currently introduced on Redstone 5 builds. Here’s everything we know about the Redstone 5 update so far

What do you think of the “new” name? It’s Windows 10 October 2018 Update or anything else comment below.
